Privacy & Cookies

HoopMetrics (hoopmetrics.app) publishes NBA statistics, news and model-based predictions. This page explains what personal data we process, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account data — if you create an account: your name, email address, a hashed password and your sign-in sessions (browser, time). Used only to run your account and, with your approval, to let apps you connect (for example via our MCP server) read data on your behalf.
  • Technical data — our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request data to deliver and protect the site. We use the approximate country and region Cloudflare derives from your IP to decide which offers may legally be shown to you; we do not store your IP address.
  • Outbound clicks — when you click a sponsored link we record the time, the page, the link and your country/region, without your IP address or account.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used. It sets cookies and collects device, browser and usage information.
  • Advertising — we show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and, with your consent, to personalise them and measure their performance.

Cookies and consent

Essential cookies keep you signed in and are always on. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are used only after you agree in the consent banner (provided by Google); until then Google receives only cookieless signals. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Running your account — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Security, delivery and geo-restriction of offers — legitimate interests and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(f), (c)).
  • Analytics and advertising cookies — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

Who receives data

Cloudflare (hosting, database, email delivery), Google (analytics and advertising). Some of these providers process data outside the EEA under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell personal data.

Sponsored links

Some pages may contain sponsored links to licensed betting operators, shown only where they are legal for your location and only to adults. If you follow one, that operator’s privacy policy applies. Picks are research, not advice. Gambling involves risk.

How long we keep data

Account data until you delete your account; sessions until they expire or you sign out; click records for up to 24 months; analytics data for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and receive your data in a portable format. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO). To exercise your rights or ask a question, write to support@hoopmetrics.app.
