The Golden State Warriors came into Denver at 0-3 and left with a 134-114 win over the Denver Nuggets. Two players led the way: a rookie posting a career night and a veteran who didn't miss a shot.

Lendeborg's breakout

Yaxel Lendeborg, the No. 11 pick in the 2026 draft, scored 31 points with 12 rebounds and 6 assists in 30:49. That beat the career high of 26 he set two nights earlier in Phoenix. He did a lot of his work at the free-throw line, going 12-of-13 there and 9-of-19 from the field. Golden State were +27 with him on the floor.

It is the latest step in a quick climb. Lendeborg has scored 12, 18, 26 and now 31 in his first four NBA games.

Curry's perfect third quarter

Stephen Curry had 3 points at halftime, on the only shot he took. Then the Warriors' 40-point third quarter turned the game. Curry went 6-of-6 in the period, including two threes, for 17 points. Golden State won the quarter 40-28 and turned a 60-56 halftime lead into a 100-84 cushion.

Curry finished with 24 points in 26:34 on 8-of-8 from the field, 3-of-3 from three and 5-of-5 from the line.

Brandin Podziemski added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists with no turnovers and a game-best +33. Gui Santos scored 13 on 5-of-6, and Draymond Green handed out 7 assists. As a team, Golden State shot 22-of-44 from three and 20-of-21 from the line, and won the rebounding battle 45-32.

Denver's stars held in check

Nikola Jokić had 19 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists but shot 8-of-18, went 1-of-6 from three and finished -16. DeMar DeRozan led the Nuggets with 21 points, and Jamal Murray scored 19 on 8-of-13 with 8 assists. Aaron Gordon was limited to 7 points on 2-of-10.

Denver led 32-28 after the first quarter and shot 50% for the game (42-of-84). They just couldn't keep up from the perimeter, making 10 threes to Golden State's 22.
